How do I apply an offline activation response file to a machine running Deep Freeze?

A offline activation response file is provided to customers who are unable to complete an online activation for Deep Freeze. These activation response files need to be copied to the device and imported into the product to complete your activation process.

Systems can be activated at the machine itself, or through the Deep Freeze Enterprise Console if you have one installed.

Importing the Activation File Locally

To import the activation file locally you will need to open the boot control window on the client machine by pressing CTRL-ALT-SHIFT-F6 or by double clicking the Deep Freeze Icon on the system tray, once you enter your password and see the Boot Control Window you can them click on Activate Now to generate the activation request. Once you have the response file from Faronics you can click on the button with three dots in the Activate Offline dialog to select the response file and import it into the product.

Importing the Activation File through the Enterprise Console

If your offline activation request was created through the Enterprise Console you will need to import the response file into the Enterprise Console while the computers are online and able to communicate with the Enterprise Console to complete the activation process. To import the activation response file click on Tools --> Licensing in the Enterprise Console and then Click on Activate Now and select the option to Activate Offline. Once the offline activation dialog is shown click on the button with the three dots to import the activation response file into the console.

Please note that workstations being activated must be online and communicating with the Enterprise Console for the activation process to complete.
